LIME PRODUCTS
Limestone is formed as a result of mechanical mining of carbonate rocks. Depending on the chemical composition and processing technology, it is intended for industrial purposes (industrial limestone), construction and road construction (aggregates and fillers) and in the form of fine-grained lime products for agriculture, glassworks, power plants, and what’s more as a sorbent for flue gas desulphurization, construction chemicals, and the feed industry, etc.
Final products are subject to constant quality monitoring in accordance with the guidelines of the Factory Production Control, systems ISO 9001 and GMP + B2.
The EGM company was established in 2000. Since 2006, it has been exploiting its own Jurassic limestone deposit „Wierzbica”.
The extracted rock has very high chemical parameters, which makes it a unique deposit. The percentage of CaCO3, on average is above 98%, making it among the highest-quality deposits in Poland and Europe for the lime industry.
In order to use optimally the physico-chemical parameters of limestone from this deposit, in 2013 the Company implemented an innovative technology for the production of fine-grained limestone products.
